Oh My, Florida
As soon as everyone was home from work and school we started packing our bags into the car for a straight through drive to Florida. That was this past Friday. We left around 5pm and got to my grandparents house around 3pm on Saturday.
Earlier on Friday I was looking for any boxes we could do along Interstate 75. Have you ever looked at the Trip Planner under the Toolbox tab? If not, you should if you plan to travel. Since I am not a Premium member I couldn't plan my own trips, so luckily some one already had a Interstate 75 trip planned.
The only issue is that it starts in Miami, Florida and end in Ontario, Canada. That's a South to North trip when we are going North to South. Since we didn't want to make too many stops I narrowed it down to any boxes planted at rest stops along the way. That's when the South the North thing got in the way. Some of the boxes were placed at rest stops going North bound.
From the time I got up Friday to the time I went to bed Saturday night, about 40 hours had past. I had two and a half hours of sleep of that 40 hours. When I got to sleep the first time at around 6am I was woken up about an hour later. We were at the Florida welcome area, the one stop with a letterbox. We left my brother, Dylan, in the car as my mom, aunt, little brother and I went out searching for this box. We found it and it was really neat. I've never found a box at a rest stop before. I think they are a neat thing to do.
Florida is really cool. This will be my third time down here. Everything is green compared to Ohio. Poor Ohio. I heard that the Columbus area will be getting a bunch of snow. It's in the 60's and 70's here in Englewood. A lot nicer than Ohio but I kind of miss the cold... Only a bit.
Tuesday my grandfather is taking my brother to Lego Land while the rest of us letterbox. Can't wait to check out the Florida letterboxes!
